What you need
1 long baguette, halved lengthways
2 cups lettuce, shredded
¼ red onion, shredded
1 banana pepper, sliced thinly
1 tomato, sliced
2 tbsp. mayo
1 tsp. Dijon mustard
1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 tsp. dried oregano
6 slices spicy salami
6 slices prosciutto
4 slices olive mortadella
3 slices swiss cheese
Salt & pepper, to taste
Toss lettuce, onion, banana peppers, mayo, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper in a bowl and set salad aside.
Layer deli slices on the bottom half of sandwich, followed by cheese – if you would like your sandwich toasted, pop it under the grill for 2-3 minutes here.
Top cheese with tomato slices and tossed salad. Close sandwich and cut in half. Enjoy!
- DELI MEATS: You can really pick any three here – we like the mix of spicy salami, salty prosciutto and the olives in the mortadella. But you can use any ham, turkey, sliced chicken or pastrami. Try to use a few different variations to add to the layering of textures and flavours.

- ADD SOME HEAT: Add a heaped tsp of chilli flakes or some hot sauce to your salad mix if you’d like that extra kick. Opt for spicy meats for that touch of extra heat.
