Harissa, Garlic Tahini Sauce

Facebook
Pinterest

A spicy rendition of an already perfect sauce. Is it overkill? We don’t think so – we could all use a little extra spice in our lives! Add this nutty, garlicky, lemony sauce with a hint of heat to any Middle-Eastern inspired dish, wrap, salad or otherwise. We don’t make the rules though, so put it on whatever you fancy!

What you need

Spoon

Small bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. tahini
  • 2 tsp. harissa
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • 3 tbsp. water

Preparation

Step 1

Put all ingredients into a small bowl and mix well until smooth. Sauce should have the consistency of tomato ketchup – a little thick, but runny. If it’s too thick add water, if too thin add more tahini. If too spicy, suck it up!

✨ RECIPE NOTES ✨

  • Storage: This will store in the fridge for 3-5 days. If it thickens, you can add a few teaspoons of warm water to loosen it up again before drizzling it on your food.
